A couple of New Zealand entrepreneurs have re-invented the mini-farthing for the modern age
The bike, called the Yike, is so small and light, about 10kg,  it can be folded up into a bag and carried over the shoulder. The Yike is powered by a 1.2 kilowatt motor, giving it a top speed of about 12mph, The team hope their invention will appeal to the city commuter market. The Yike is to be unveiled at a German bike trade show today. Watch this space to see if it takes off.
