Scrappage scheme extended

The government is to extend the car scrappage scheme to another 100,000 cars

Since the scrappage scheme started over a 1/4 million new cars have been sold. An additional £100 million will be added which will allow for another 100,000 cars. Criticisms from environmental bodies say that the scheme is an expensive measure to tackle climate change issues and is really only a prop for the vehicle manufacturers.
