Rubbish offences
An American state is to start using its automated ticketing expertise to catch those that litter
The plan is to equip drivers with cameras to survey households and see if they are littering their lawns, if photo evidence proves that a rubbish violation has occurred the image will be downloaded to the central ticketing office and an automated letter sent out requesting payment of a fine within 15 days. If left unpaid, the matter will be taken to court.
