Drink drive deaths increase

DfT statistics show that drink drive deaths rose in 2008 to 430. Up 20 on the previous year

Over 20 years the trend has been downwards on the number of those killed in drink drive road accidents, 1985 had over 1000 deaths. The Conservative party jumped on figures that show the areas with the largest cluster of speed cameras also had the highest number of road accidents.
