Scrappage fees

Motorists who have participated in the car scrappage scheme have paid nearly £680,000 in transfer costs

The highest ‘policy adjustment fees’ set by insurers was £35, with a fee of £75 if you wanted to have a completely new insurance policy. It has been suggested that by the time the scappage scheme ends, customers may have paid out a total of £6 million in policy fees.
