Cobbled parking
Councils in historic towns nationwide have been having problems with yellow lines sticking to cobbled streetsThe problem stems from the cobbles being very smooth thus there is no adhesion for the yellow paint to stick to. Various attempts at overcoming the problem have been tried from thermal plastic to yellow tape but eventually they need to be re-applied. The issue has become more urgent as councils take over from the Police the power to issue parking fines and tickets.
